Ready, Set, Design - Design Thinking Kickoff Sessions
THIS EVENT IS A TWO-PART SERIES, WEDNESDAY, AND SATURDAY. TICKETS COVER BOTH DAYS.
DESIGN THINKING FOR SOCIAL IMPACT
Though it might seem like a relatively new concept and buzzword, Design Thinking has been around for quite some time. It's now the moment to see how it can be used to generate solutions and prototypes addressing the world's biggest challenges.
This two-part workshop done in collaboration with IBM Design and will focus on fleshing out ideas related to the following five goals:
Goal 1: No Poverty
Goal 2: Good Health and Well-Being
Goal 5: Gender Equality
Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
You could use this workshop to think deeper about what these 5 goals mean for our community and what solutions could be further developed.
Impact Hub is accepting applications for its Affordability Accelerator this Fall. If you're thinking of applying, use this workshop to refine your idea and submit it by the deadline next week.
This two-part workshop consists of:
Part 1: Introductory session on design thinking on Wednesday, August 22
Part 2: Applying Design Thinking Principles on Saturday, August 25
It is highly recommended to attend both sessions.
